Shorn of pretense, simply appointed, Northfields Model M mandolin is relatively new, but it was years in the making. And, while it may be their entry level mandolin, it’s hardly a typical one. It does away with fancy scroll work and relies purely on rich, warm sound to make an impression.
before you play the Model M, know that a whole bunch of other musicians already have. Northfield gave early production models to musicians. Had them take it on the road, play in front of a crowd, play in the heat, play on a bus at four in the morning. Their feedback is built into every mandolin Northfield makes.
We inspect each and every instrument we ship out for maximum playability. We adjust the action and adjust intonation when needed. If you would like a specific adjustment, just add it to your order notes and we would be happy to adjust to your liking.
