Description
The Mandocello features Gold tones patented Zero Glide nut and a Venetian-style cutaway body. This instrument also features a dual pickup system, which includes a jazz-style floating humbucker pickup mounted to the end of the pickguard, and a transducer pickup in the bridge (with volume controls for both on the pickguard), providing a superb plugged-in tone.
The Mandocello is constructed with maple back and sides, paired with a solid spruce top and is fitted with a rosewood fretboard, an adjustable ebony bridge, an ebony tailpiece and a two-way adjustable truss rod. The Mandocello continues the expansion of Gold Tone’s innovative “Folkternative” initiative, aimed squarely at providing amateur and professional players with the widest selection of plucked instruments in the world at affordable prices. The pickguard may also be removed and there will be no pickup or potentiometer holes in the top.
We inspect each an every instrument we ship out for maximum playability. We adjust the action and adjust intonation when needed. If you would like a specific adjustment, just add it to your order notes and we would be happy to adjust to your liking.
