This instrument is in Excellent-Condition showing only some very minor hairline scratches throughout as well as some very light tarnishing of the gold hardware.

Back in 2004, West Coast super-picker Pat Cloud bought a Gold Tone Banjola at McCabe’s Guitar Shop in Santa Monica, California. He sent Gold Tone president Wayne Rogers an email, telling him of his purchase and how much he was enjoying playing it. Pat had moved to Japan to work for the Disney company and  was planning to record a Banjola album and inquired about installing a pickup in his instrument. Wayne immediately suggested a signature model Banjola for Pat that would include a pickup, as well as some other touches that Mr. Cloud might like. These came to include a wider body, a glued-on pin-style bridge, maple bindings, a multi-layered veneer on the back of headstock, “rising sun” inlay, a maple heel cap, and a dual stereo-out transducer/magnetic pickup system. The PC-Banjola was born.

After receiving the first PC-Banjola, Pat emailed, “Wayne, the PC-Banjola arrived and it is just gorgeous! I love the solid feel and the action is perfect. I just love it. It gets better and better every time I pick it up. It’s perfect for me. This Friday is my day off and I am going into Tokyo to try some amps out. My whole life has been an exploration of the “five string system” usually attached to banjo, but now attached to an exciting new instrument which satisfies my need for mellow sustain and jazz chord soloing”.
