Well, what a special night it was! And what’s best is that YOU made it special! It was unbelievable to see 30 ukulele players on stage at the Culture Room all smiling and playing with Donavon.
That was the culmination of two intense weeks of rehearsing and practicing and fun times with the whole Uke Troop.
The evening was definitely a success. Everybody loved it. The people are Culture Room loved it, Donavon loved it, the audience loved it.
And I loved it.
I loved it because we were able to create a community event that goes way beyond the music that we played. We put together people of different backgrounds, age and interests and we all worked towards this common goal. To have a fun night one of the stages in South Florida.
The kids, the adults, their friends, their families all enjoyed it. And contributed to this wonderful memory that we all will have forever.
Most of all, as the owner of Penny Lane Emporium, I was very happy to see what we have created here. Not just a music store where you can learn how to play music or by an instrument but a place where people gather to enjoy and share the gift of music. Our teachers, our customers, our students are all involved into this beautiful dream that I’ve had when I open Penny Lane.
Just makes me so happy to see other people happy and enjoying the gift of music.
So stay tuned. We will do this again.
