Fantastic service. I'm getting back into learning mandolin after many years and needed advice and a full setup. Their mandolin setup service is amazing. I am literally shocked by how much easier playing and practicing my mandolin has become. Before, beginner practice was a difficult chore that I felt was a wall to break through, but now I've advanced more in a week than the year prior, thanks to the correct setup. The store also had everything else I needed from the correct strings, picks, arm rests....etc.I will be back for everything mandolin related. 5 stars.

The store is filled with instruments of the highest quality. My 36-year-old Martin's loose binding/bridge pin crack was repaired by Russell and his work without exaggeration is of the highest quality- very much in keeping with Martin's longstanding traditions. Penny Lane Music Emporium is hands down the best music shop I’ve have the privilege to shop at. They have an incredible selection and an incredible team ready to help.Armando (owner) and his staff are the absolute best in the business. It was a joy to work with them. They are very customer oriented and genuinely want to make sure every customer has the best experience finding the right instrument.It doesn’t matter if you’re an online customer or you show up in person, they will take care of you. I know this from experience. Armando helped me with an online order, promptly and patiently answering all of my questions over the phone and email. I later had the opportunity to visit their store in Fort Lauderdale. If you have the chance to visit the store, do so. It was worth the 4+ hour drive.I love my new Collings guitar. Thank you everyone at Penny Lane for helping make this happen. You’re the best!I know where I’m going for my next purchase, PENNY LANE!UPDATE from 06/19: The Collings guitar developed a lot of string buzz once it acclimated to my home. Armando was incredibly helpful in getting this resolved. He personally reached out to Collings and followed up with me regularly to ensure everything was taken care of. Collings sent out a new saddle that resolved the issue.I add this update as it only further confirms the amazing customer service at Penny Lane. I have been coming here since i was in 2nd grade taking lessons, and im now a sophomore in college and i dont do the lessons anymore but i love it here. they are always the absolute sweetest and kindest people, Armando has always been a huge supporter when it comes to music and I couldnt thank him enough. A few months ago I stopped into Penny Lane Music Emporium looking for a new ukulele. I was greeted by the owner, Armando. The selection of instruments was overwhelming to me and Armando helped me pick out the perfect ukulele. I was impressed by his warmth and enthusiasm and decided to take some lessons with him. His passion for music and teaching is unmistakable, and his dedication to helping me succeed is evident in every lesson. Each lesson is an enjoyable experience and tailored to meet my needs. Armando Zuppa, the owner of Penny Lane Emporium, is a true musician and a fine man. Always patient and willing to advice and takes his time with you. The selection of music instruments is impressive and the knowledge of the rest of the staff is impressive too. The fantastic music instructors are skilled and friendly and each teaching studio is accordingly equipped.My children have taken music lessons there for years, singing, ukelele, guitar and drums. I would recommend Penny Lane Emporium to anyone!

Penny Lane is the best! My kids have been taking lessons from Joe for the past few years and he is great- so patient and kind but also a great musician and teacher. I bought a Taylor guitar here a few years ago and get regular string and set up services with Russell. I couldn’t be happier with the friendly knowledgeable service. We love our weekly time at Penny Lane - they treat us like family and even have amazing musicians play on the weekends. Highly recommend!

I bought a ukulele from Armondo and the experience was perfect. I don't live in the States so needed a friend to pick it up for me and Armando handled everything for me. He sent me pics and videos of the ukulele and answered every question I had. We emailed each other several times. It's hard to find great service these days. At Penny Lane the service is the best. As a serious music hobbyist, I highly recommend that you visit Penny Lane before going anywhere else. This music shop is the “watering hole of South Florida” for acoustic instrument musicians. Staff are friendly and knowledgeable. Wide selection of guitars, ukuleles, and more.

I had the opportunity to visit Penny Lane Music Emporium Labor Day weekend while visiting Fort Lauderdale. Armand and his friendly knowledgeable staff were very gracious and what a beautiful music store whose emphasis is oriented towards acoustic instruments of exceptional quality especially for folks who have an interest in Americana, bluegrass,folk and other styles of string music where the traditional sounds of wood sets the tone and atmosphere of this shimmering little musical jewel tucked away in South Florida near the Atlantic Ocean and famous US Hwy 1. A good selection of Martin Guitars caught my attention as well as Collings Guitars and mandolins,Bourgeois,Taylor and others. Also a good selection of guitars and mandolins for beginners to professional models as well as resonator 5 string banjos and open backs for clawhammer style players, plus a wide selection of Ukes and other accessories to choose from.The staff are also skilled musicians who provide lessons for all levels...a surprising addition to these attributes is the concert schedule of top notch touring musicians and workshops put on by some of the very best instrumentalists in America today...who would know what a fine venue and down to earth roots music destination is situated right here along the Florida Coast,.right?.America's Heartland way down south. Thankyou Armand and staff. I'm looking forward to a future visit. Thankyou for putting up with me !

Went to the store just to "take a look", ended up buying guitar in 10 minutes. There was a good deal and i couldn't resist. I don't even know why i haven't stopped there earlier and saved my time (after visiting every guitar center in south florida)

These people are super friendly and know their stuff. They have a great selection of new and used string instruments of all kinds.I also found a lovely and lyrical-chiming hang drum. We will drive across state again to visit and shop...and maybe attend one of the concerts they give!

I was visiting from Halifax Canada and stopped in on a Saturday afternoon. Took in some live music and started chatting with Armando about Collings guitars, which was the main reason I came in. I had never played one before. He was sold out, but generously allowed me to play his personal one so I could get a feel for it.He found it hilarious that owning Gibsons, Taylors and Matons I have never owned a Martin in my life. He showed me a couple I should try out and attempted to gently persuade me to buy one. I passed on them and bought a Martin hat instead. I joked "if the Martin hat feels good maybe I'll come back and buy a guitar from you". It was only a month later that I went online and bought the Martin he showed me from his store. Obviously the hat felt good, but the guitar feels even better. Thanks for turning me into a Martin fan! (like I didn't have enough guitars). lolExcellent packaging and shipping!
