Gina Benkendorf is a Memphis born-and-bred guitarist and singer-songwriter. Influenced by the Beale Street B.B. King vibe, she came up in the capital of rhythm and blues, Graceland and nearby Nashville. Since moving away and after years of perfecting her craft, Gina debuted as a performing artist in her hometown in 2018.Gina’s songs may be firmly grounded in the South but she layers them with a modern beat. Her sound is a rich medley of soulful blues with a percussive tempo and a country twang.Rock n’ Roll, Blues, Folk, Country, Soul —as a singer and songwriter she often collaborates with other artists as a co-writer and converts her love of poetry to lyrics to connect with her fans. She is currently in the recording studio for a collection of original songs that will bring Memphis to life for a broader audience.When she’s not in the studio, Gina lives life to the fullest in South Florida with her two young daughters, her husband, Matt and a golden retriever, Ranger.
