So, I have a 30-year-old reasonably high quality (for the time) classical-electric guitar. I dropped it, no cosmetic damage but the impact literally dislodged one of the major interior braces.(Photo of guitar and dislodged brace below) Realizing this could cause serious structural damage later, and that it required someone who was familiar with actual woodworking and acoustic instruments, I gave RUSSELL at PENNY LANE a call.I was familiar with the place as I used to live nearby but it's been many years since I've been in there.He took a look at it on a Tuesday, discovered that as well as the main brace, which was totally dislodged, there were a couple other loose braces and a crack that needed a little filling.He took the guitar TUESDAY and I had it back THURSDAY! Unbelievable, and the price was extremely REASONABLE! Glad I went there, I felt this job was a little beyond someone who was simply a "guitar tech", although RUSSELL assures me that he also does standard work such as pickups, fret jobs Etc for electric as well as acoustic instruments (always wise to call ahead for availability and schedule). Thank you so much for the excellent service RUSSELL! 🙏PENNY LANE MUSIC EMPORIUM, YOU ROCK!! 💯HIGHLY RECOMMENDED! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Amazing service - even from far away.I was recently in the market for a new guitar and used Penny Lane’s “request a demo” feature for a Beard Trailblazer I was interested in. I included a few details about my playing style and what I was looking for, and later that same day they emailed me a personalized video demo of the exact instrument, along with answers to a bunch of my questions.I also had one specific request about the guitar, and the folks at Penny Lane went out of their way to make sure everything was perfect. I ended up with exactly the instrument I wanted and couldn’t be happier with it.Buying a guitar online can always feel a little risky, and I’ve done it several times over the years. Out of every guitar I’ve purchased online, this one was by far the most carefully packed.Highly recommend them.

Purchased a new Northfield NFS-F5 Mandolin from Penny lane. They stayed in contact with me almost daily from my 1st contact, sending me photo's and details. Excellent communication and excellent service . The Mandolin arrived 2 business days after the purchase in more than excellent pristine condition. PS the store is in Florida so be reminded that shipment is from a very mild temperature state Big thanks to the staff at Penny lane, they are top notch and highly trustworthy.

Very good, old time music store feel at Penny Lane Music Emporium! Everything here is displayed in a clean, and orderly fashion. Great selection of instruments, for both beginners and professionals...and friendly service -always! They also offer a wide variety of music classes, at every level, to hone your skills. The vibe here has to be experienced to fully appreciate this South Florida treasure. I'm a customer for life!

I no longer live in South Florida, but when I did, I was a frequent visitor at Penny Lane Music Emporium. Hands-down my favorite music store ever! I love the folks in there, the thoughtful vibe, the beautiful instruments, and the many intimate concerts I attended there. I've purchased a couple of very quality instruments there and have always been met with a welcome. I love you guys and now that I am no longer in the area, I miss you too.

What a cool music shop, Armando is teaching me how to play a banjo, and if he can do that, I bet he could teach anyone with a thumb how to play banjo or guitar. They can also repair/customize your stringed instruments- trust me, it’s hard to find a good guitar mechanic.

Fantastic service. I'm getting back into learning mandolin after many years and needed advice and a full setup. Their mandolin setup service is amazing. I am literally shocked by how much easier playing and practicing my mandolin has become. Before, beginner practice was a difficult chore that I felt was a wall to break through, but now I've advanced more in a week than the year prior, thanks to the correct setup. The store also had everything else I needed from the correct strings, picks, arm rests....etc.I will be back for everything mandolin related. 5 stars.

Penny Lane Music Emporium is hands down the best music shop I’ve have the privilege to shop at. They have an incredible selection and an incredible team ready to help.Armando (owner) and his staff are the absolute best in the business. It was a joy to work with them. They are very customer oriented and genuinely want to make sure every customer has the best experience finding the right instrument.It doesn’t matter if you’re an online customer or you show up in person, they will take care of you. I know this from experience. Armando helped me with an online order, promptly and patiently answering all of my questions over the phone and email. I later had the opportunity to visit their store in Fort Lauderdale. If you have the chance to visit the store, do so. It was worth the 4+ hour drive.I love my new Collings guitar. Thank you everyone at Penny Lane for helping make this happen. You’re the best!I know where I’m going for my next purchase, PENNY LANE!UPDATE from 06/19: The Collings guitar developed a lot of string buzz once it acclimated to my home.
