Description
This banjo is in Very-Good Condition showing only normal signs of wear & age for a 113 year old instrument which include the following; some tarnishing of the nickel hardware (some of the nickel plating has worn off on some of the hooks), very light fret wear, some separation on the head plate (normal for 100+ year old pear wood), and minor nicks/dings/scratches throughout the entirety of the instrument. The head was replaced with a modern one at some point and the the bridge is a maple/ebony scorpion. The current tuners are vintage Ludwig Planetary’s which appear to be pre-war, however, this cannot be confirmed. This banjo includes a multi-ply hardshell case which is in Good-Condition.
We inspect each and every instrument we ship out for maximum playability. We adjust the action and adjust intonation when needed. If you would like a specific adjustment, just add it to your order notes and we would be happy to adjust to your liking.Â
