SUMMARY:Ted Yoder in Concert\, Hammered Dulcimer Concert
DESCRIPTION: “Ted Yoder is the Bela Fleck of the hammered dulcimer.” — Michael Johnathan Woodsongs Old-Time Radio Hour \n  \n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\n\nTed is a National Hammered Dulcimer champion. He’s released five beloved and critically acclaimed solo albums\, and become a master educator of the instrument. Ted has been profiled in the Kearney Hub\, Huffington Post\, and on NPR’s All Things Considered show\, among many other features\, profiles\, and reviews in regional and national tastemaking outlets. On Wednesday\, August 24th\, 2016\, Ted became something of a household name when a Facebook Live video of him from his Live From The Orchard series playing Tears For Fears’ “Everybody Wants To Rule The World” went viral. The video rocketed up to 53 million views in four days. The Goshen\, Indiana-based instrumentalist-composer-singer\, has dazzled audiences nationally in diverse settings. In intimate gatherings\, performing art centers\, theaters\, festivals\, and comfy bar and grill performances\, Ted forges meaningful bonds with the audience. His charisma and warm candor come through as he tailors each set to the energy of the audience.  Ted is also generous with unlocking the majesty and mystery of the hammered dulcimer before their eyes and ears. During shows he’s been known to take questions about the rarefied instrument\, and sometimes even explain his unique approach to music making on the hammered dulcimer—a rare treat for fans and first timers experiencing this complex instrument.\nPurchase Tickets Here $25\n\nhttps://youtu.be/E6QOr-oCTwU

SUMMARY:Mile Twelve in Concert January 24th
DESCRIPTION:The Penny Lane Session Presents: \nMile Twelve in Concert and Banjo\, Mandolin and Fiddle Workshops at Penny Lane. \nJoin us to see one of the greatest upcoming bluegrass bands in the US\, Mile Twelve\, \, nominated for Emerging Artist of the Year at 2018 IBMA\, on January 24th at 7:30 and if you like you can also attend one of the three workshops which will be here at Penny Lane in the afternoon of the day of the concert. \nBuy Concert Tickets: $20 \nBuy Banjo Workshop Tickets: $20 \nBuy Fiddle Workshop Tickets: $20 \nBuy Mandolin Workshop Tickets: $20 \nBuy Concert and One (1) Workshop Tickets $35 \n  \nIt is a commitment to avoid what is easy and predictable that fuels Mile Twelve’s continued march forward. The winners of IBMA’s 2017 Momentum award are now nominated for 2018 Emerging Artist of the year\, and they show no signs of slowing. Their debut full-length album Onwards\, produced by Stephen Mougin\, was met with critical acclaim and earned the band time at the top of the bluegrass charts as well as an IBMA nomination for 2018 Instrumental Recorded Performance of the Year. John Lawless of Bluegrass Today says\, “The Boston-based group has been making noise in bluegrass with their virtuosic approach to the music\, clever songwriting and arrangements\, a nose-to-the-grindstone attitude\, and a youthful energy that appeals to all age groups. All of that shows on their new release\, Onwards.”  \nThey’ll be heading into the studio at the end of 2018 to record their sophomore project with Nashville-based Ben Surratt at the board and guitar virtuoso Bryan Sutton producing. Paul Schiminger\, President of The IBMA says\, “What I and so many others love about Mile Twelve is their musicianship\, material\, and energy.  Their sound is fresh and innovative\, yet rooted in a solid foundation of bluegrass.  They move easily among traditional bluegrass classics\, terrific original material\, and interpretations of pop music classics\, while knocking you over with their strong instrumentals and harmonies.” Tim O’Brien calls them “a group to watch in the coming decade.” \nCheck out their music on iTunes their  Web Page and their Facebook Page \n  \n  \n
